Men and women differ beyond mere plumbing.

Men are into PERFORM'ANCE and THINKING (that's
why they're always worried about their
equipment.) Men think women are complicated --
but that's because men are simple.

Men are motivated by how things -- and they
themselves -- work - PERFORM'ANCE! Hardness is
good, and men tend to talk about their jobs or
competitive sports.

Sample positioning statements for MEN:

GOOD: "Men! Just think how your buds and ba'bes
will envy your hard-driving POWER in this
Ram-Tough Truck!"

NOT GOOD: "Men! Imagine how lovely you'll feel
while driving our ravishing trucks!"

Women
==================================================

Women are into APPEARANCE and FEELINGS, and
they're more inclined to experiment with new
things. They are motivated by how things -- and
especially they themselves -- LOOK! Moist is
good. Women tend to talk about relationships and
how they feeeel about them.

Sample positioning statements for WOMEN:

GOOD: "Women! Imagine how enchanting you'll feel
wearing our sensuous new Moisturizing Lipstick!"

NOT GOOD: "Women! Imagine how you'll perform
wearing our Ram-Tough Lipstick!"
