Figure 1. Partial (only) Transaction Sequence

Notice the 4 columns representing various actors: BUYER, PAYPAL, VENDOR (you), and AWEBER. You many need to add another column(s) for other vendors, affiliates, or whomever.

Notice that boxes are ACTIONS and circles are DATA. Solid lines show action-flow; dashed lines show data-flow.

This is only a PARTIAL diagram of a typical transaction sequence. For example, not shown for PayPal are the actions of sending receipt to Buyer and order-notification to the Vendor (you). Also, not shown are Vendor's (your) actions to fulfill the order.

You will need to create another diagram for 2CO because 2CO is slightly different than PayPal because they have a "Pending" feature before some orders are completed.

I recommend doing this process with pencil and paper and filing for future reference. Also, write your file names on this diagram. These diagrams will save you much time and trouble the next time. (Unless you're a transcendental genius you won't remember this stuff.)

Aweber has added some automation features. For example, where it says Aweber sends message #1, you can have Aweber automatically display your download page (eliminating the Buyer's need to open the 2nd email and click the link to the download page). You will need to give Aweber the correct filename for this.
